Synopsis

When Major Connell, an allied fighter pilot, flying over Japanese occupied territory is shot down, he's forced to confront his humanity, forging an unlikely friendship with a young Japanese soldier who, when all seems lost, helps him escape captivity and fly home to the love of his life.

This film distinguishes itself from other war films by showing the capacity of soldiers to look beyond their uniforms in recognition of one another's humanity.

Leaving a Legacy

This film is committed to showing WWII history and planes accurately with the advice of our technical advisors from the aviation and veteran community. To increase awareness about the planes used in The Promise, a short featurette on the history and conservation of the planes, including an optional interview with you (the aircraft owner) will also be created.

To support veterans, the film aims to partner with non-profit organizations like The Gary Sinise Foundation, serving the needs of men and women in the armed forces. We aim to partner with this non-profit with the goal of raising capital both for the film and the foundation.
